Little Things

There is nothing better than a good book, a cup of coffee and a fire on a rainy day or so they say. My view is that there is nothing better than a sweet smile, a hug and a little one asking you if you can help out with brushing their hair or encouraging them with their homework on any day.

My kids are always keeping me crazy busy but I enjoy that, I think all stay at home moms probably enjoy that. At night we take showers, read and have a snack and are off to have me tuck them into bed, this is our routine it happens whether it is 6pm or 10pm it doesn't matter, it is the same every night. I love the way they come out of their room looking for a snack or to tell me something funny that happened today just to stay up 2 more minutes, sure it is sometimes frustrating if I am watching a movie or having quiet time with my husband but over all I would not change it. I found out that me personally tucking them in, yes even the teenager, is important, sure dad is great but I am special they want that hug from me and it is something I am blessed with. I know this may be corny but I think that the little things from my kids and my husband are what make it worth it to stay at home. What little things are you thankful for?

  1. I love the story! When I think of Gypsies I think of the movie Snatch with Brad Pitt. In this movie they are cunning and nomadic, they also talk wierd- none of which match what I know about you!

  2. oops I meant to put that on the next post!

There are lots of little things I am thankful for... I love to enjoy a good book with minimal interruptions - though that hardly ever happens. I love the hugs and kisses from my kids, and even more when they ask to read with me. My FAVORITE thing is enjoying the out doors and being active with my family and friends!
