For the past growing season the farmers who take care of the field next to our house put in corn, it was wonderful because it afforded us so much privacy and we realized maybe a fence was a good idea (we are still considering this). This winter, it has been pretty neat because for whatever reason there is a patch of corn that has some pretty good leftovers in it. We have flocks of starlings (pesky birds) who have been eating out there and now we have a flock of canadian geese who have been around this week to see what they can find among the rows. If you look close or zoom in after saving this photo you can see them, they are beautiful creatures.
